Terminal - Input & output device connected in a network are called as terminal.
Packet- Data transmission from one pc to another in form of small parts called as packet.

tell about the flow of data from one system to another system.
Physical layer - It convert binary bits in to electrical or optical .before transmit data & agains convert electrical bits . Device work on this layer are hub & repeater.
Data link layer- It receiving to data from network layer & convert them in frames.
device work's on this layer switch & bridge.
(frames contain four block first is mac address second is destination third contain data & fourth contain error control code).

Mac address- It is 48 bit physical address of
machine ( NIC card) . It can not be change by user.
Network layer- It receive data from transport layer & convert them in to packet
the device work's on this layer router & brouter.
Routing - It defines the path through which
request & response flow.
Routing- It is two type(1)static &(2)dynamic
Static - In this type of routing path preprogramming by user.
Dynamic- In this type of routing router select the easepath itself.
Transport layer- It create segement of data
received from session layer.
Session layer - It create session for the data transmission .
Presentation layer- It receive data from application layer.
Application layer- It convert data in to binary bits this layer consult with application & services.
